Quranic dua for good & righteous spouse | husband or wife

Good spouse is a blessing from Allah and any Muslim who is asking dua to get married soon or is about to get married, should also ask Allah to give them righteous spouse. 

While there can be many good traits that you can look for in your potential spouse, let's explore what Quran guides us in this regard:

"And marry those among you who are single and the Salihoon (pious, fit and capable ones) of your slaves and maid-servants. If they be poor, Allah will enrich them out of His Bounty. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures needs, All-Knowing (about the state of the people)" [Surah Nur 32]

Now, let's learn a very powerful dua from Quran.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامً

Transliteration: Rabbana hab lana min 'azwajina wazurriy'yatina qurrata a'yunin waj'alna lil-muttaqeena imama

English translation: Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous
