Prophetﷺ Dua for Laylatul Qadr (Night of Power)

Laylatul Qadr in Ramadan is to be looked for within the last 10 nights of the month of Ramadan--more likely within the odd nights of the last 10 days. 

Here's a powerful dua taught in a Hadith. Let's explore and try to make the most from it. 

Arabic Text

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ كَرِيْمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ، فَاعْفُ عَنِّيْ

Transliteration 

Allahumma innaka afuwwun kareemun tuhibbul afwa, fa'fu anna 

English translation

O Allah You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me

In Hadith 

It was narrated from 'Aishah that she said: 

O Messenger of Allah, what do you think I should say in my supplication, if I come upon Laylatul-Qadr? He said: Say: 'Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni (O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me).'
