You must avoid anything that nullifies your fast during Ramadan. Here are the things that will invalidate your fast and will require qadha to make up for the missed days.
Things that will break your fast include eating, drinking, smoking, having sex with spouse, masturbation, vomiting intentionally, taking medicines, menses. |
1) Eating, drinking intentionally
It also includes taking non-nourishing items either by mouth or by inhaling through nose.

It also includes acts such as masturbation that results in ejaculation in men and vaginal secretions in women.
4) Menstruation period or post-childbirth bleeding
Even if the menstrual period or post-childbirth bleeding occurs in the last minutes just before the sunset, it will invalidate the fast.
5) Vomiting intentionally
Sometimes, vomiting can be done deliberately by sticking your finger in the throat in order to eject food. It nullifies the fast.
