For this, God has gifted humans with consciousness and the power to choose because this way He tests them. A Quran verse highlights the significance of determination and willpower:
"We also commanded Adam before You (Mohammadﷺ), but he forgot and We did not find determination in him" [Surah Taha verse 115]Here's a very unique dua that Prophet Mohammad SAW used to recite. Companion Shaddad Bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with Him) narrates in Sunan Nasai 1305 that, "The Messenger of Allah SAW used to say in His prayer:"

Learn to pronounce the Arabic text using the transliteration and understand its meaning. You can recite it after every Salah or whenever you find time.Whatever aim and objective you have in your mind, you should focus on it and supplicate using this dua.
Allah is the owner of what we need
When reciting, you must know the fact that Allah responds to our supplications and he has power to fulfill our desire because he is the owner of everything. We may think that finding determination willpower and steadfastness is beyond us due to our weak self or tough situations, but Allah isn't weak and He wants us to ask Him for help.When we ask Him for what we lack, He gets happy because we let Him know that we are impressed by His might, power and mercy.
To show resolve (willpower), take a stand and then stay firm and unwavering (determination & steadfastness) is the ingredient to succeed in any affair or task and gain benefits.
You can recite this dua for:
- Strengthening faith in Allah
- Practicing deen such as improving your prayer/salah, and other important deeds
- When making decisions and achieving goals related to your health, business, career, marital life and other key areas of your worldly life.
