Prophetic dua to protect against Dajjal & its evil

Fitna of Dajjal is so big that one must constantly seek God's protection from it.

How to memorize

The easiest way to memorize this dua is to read the transliteration. Transliterations help a lot, especially if you are not a good at reading the Arabic text and pronouncing the right way is hard for you.

"Allahumma inni audu bika min azabi jahannama, wa audu bika min azabil qabri wa audu bika min fitna-til maseehid-dajjaal"

Another good way to memorize it is to listen to a recitation of this supplication. There are lots of good recitations on Youtube and other social medial channels. So it is recommended that you pay attention to both, transliteration and listening to the prayer recited by a Qari.

How to gain maximum benefits

Here are some of the easy and practical ways to make the most from this supplication.

• Memorize this dua (as recommended above) if you still haven't.
• Learn the meaning by memorizing the translation. It is best if you can memorize the translation in your first language. Translations are very important and there are deep psychological advantages when we use our first language for an idea, a desire or a supplication as it stimulates our imagination. The more we are into the meaning and its objectives, the more benefits we gain from this dua. 
• Show and express your concern to God that you really want to keep yourself safe from the fitna of Dajjal. This can be done by just feeling a sincere desire in your heart. Allah is Al-Lateef (The Subtle) and Al-Aleem (All-Knowing) so He will know what you are asking Him for. Keep expressing your desire and interest, often in your heart and sometimes verbally too. 
• Gain understanding of Dajjal, its evil, its weakness and its strengths as it will allow you to further deepen your awareness about this threat. Let's recall that fear comes from ignorance. Once we end our ignorance by studying a subject, we gain the upper-hand over it. 
• Deepen your understanding of God by learning His attributes (Asma ul Husna). Doing this will increase your trust in Allah as you will be creating new thought patterns about the knowledge of the Lord. 
• Be thankful for this dua. In your heart and verbally as well, express your gratitude (shukr) that you are learning to stay alert from one of the greatest fitnas of human life on Earth.
