Dua for protection against all types of storms

If you have ever been trapped in storm, you can still remember the fear and must be aware of possible losses that could have been caused by it. So, in order to keep ourselves protected, Islam has taught us a powerful dua that we should recite whenever we are in life-threatening weather conditions.

Transliteration: Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa-audubika min sharr-riha

English translation: O Allah! I ask You for its goodness and I seek refuge with You from its evil

This is a concise prayer to help you protect yourself from harm that may come from all kinds of storms.

During hurricane season

This dua can be recited during hurricane season which typically starts from June 1st to November 30th. Dangers of a hurricane are serious enough to make you brace for any situation especially if you are a Muslim living in places like the US and Australia.

Protection from tornado 

If you are a Muslim living in the United States of America, you must be aware of tornado. So this dua is a must. In the US alone, about 70 people on average get killed every year, with $400 million worth damage to land, property, infrastructure, and businesses. 

This dua is not limited to certain condition, as it can be recited for protection from all kinds of storms. Some of the most common storms that happen in almost every country:
