Evil eye is dangerous so protecting against it is something you should do on a priority basis.
Evil eye is not God and one should not fear it, but Allah wants us to be alert and stay protected. That is why He has revealed two powerful Quran Surahs for the threat of evil eye, black magic and other dangers that may lurk out there.
Why does Allah want us to be protected? Because we humans are negligent, arrogant, sometimes we show off, anger people out of our own ignorance. This weakness and vulnerability of ours can put us at a risk. Let's admit, we are not perfect like Allah. So, we need to rely on Him for 24/7 protection.
So the idea is to stay alert, conscious and remain in protection of Allah.
Alhamdulillah, Allah hasn't left us to the mercy of evil eye and other spiritual threats like black magic, curses and Satan.
Here are these two Surahs:
1) Surah Falaq
This Surah protects against evil of all creation (evil is creation of Allah too), the evil of hidden threats, jealous persons, black magicians, someone who curses, and other dangerous entities.
2) Surah Naas
Surah Naas is about evil suggestions (waswaas) of both humans and djinns. Since evil eye first happens in the mind and in the form of thoughts. We think nearly 60,000 thoughts per day, and sadly most of humans' thoughts are less-than-positive these days. There's competition, frustration, jealousy, show-off, victim mindset. So this Surah is a great blessing against such threats.
How to recite and benefit
- Recite both Surahs 3 times each (starting from Surh Falaq)
- Blow on your hands, do a damm (if you are in public, just blow on yourself in your imagination after recitation)
- Thank Allah for these 2 Surahs and their blessings / virtues
By doing it, you will create a powerful shield around you and nothing will harm you InshaAllah.

Evil eye is real and it can cause serious harm to the victim if they haven't sought protection with Allah. Evil eye is not just a stare full of jealousy or intention of harm to the victim, it can even be a gaze at an object/thing/blessing with joy, excitement and pride. |
