Forgiveness from Allah is one of the most precious blessings and what is better than an easy to momorize dua that is sure to attract Allah's mercy on us? The dua I have mentioned below can be recited to seek forgiveness from Allah for our sins, mistakes and negligence.

| Dua for forgiveness in Quran and Islam |
Transliteration: "Rabbana aa-mann-naa fagh-firlana warhamna wa-anta khair-ur-rahimeen"
English translation: "Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the best of the merciful"
Given human nature, it is of paramount importance that we constantly look to Allah for forgiveness as we never know where we are wrong as our ego often fools us into thinking that whatever we do is justified and right.
Allah has often talked about His mercy in Quran. In Surah Al A'raf, verse number 156, Allah says : "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things"
Allah's mercy encompasses everything: This verses gives us a sigh of relief and we must thank Allah for this huge favour. It tells us that no matter how big and serious our mistakes are, Allah's mercy is even bigger than our sins.
