Islamic Dua before starting your meal and food: Every Muslim must memorise this dua as it is important for us to expect Allah to give us blessings in every single bite of the food. When we don't recite the dua recommended in Ahadees, we invite Shaitaan (satan and devils) to join us in our meal.
English transliteration: Bismillahi wa-alaa barakatillah
Explanation: Allah wants us to acknowledge Him, His mercy and blessings upon us and that is why He has stressed the importance of thankfulness and zikr. This dua is a way to acknowledge Allah for his blessing in the form of food/meal provided to us.
When we don't recite this dua or don't seek blessings of Allah, shaitan infiltrates and becomes part of the food we eat, trying to take away the barakah. If we want barakah in our food and rizq, we must acknowledge Allah as often as we can.
