Dua-prayer for ghusl after menstruation periods

Ghusl becomes obligatory after menses or periods end. So, as a result, women are supposed to follow what Islam guides in this regard. When you intend to perform ghusl, you need to recite a prescribed dua before and after taking a bath.

Here is a short dua for you to learn and practice. The prayer has been mentioned in Arabic text along with English translation and transliteration. 

Please note that this dua has to be recited after you have performed ghusl.

Transliteration: Allahummaj alni minat-tawwabeena waja'alni minal mutatah-hireen

English translation: O Allah, make me of those who return to You often in repentance and make me of those who remain clean and pure

How to recite 

1) Start ghusl by reciting Bismillah (You are in the bathroom, so recite it in your heart) 

2) After you have finished ghusl, recite the above mentioned dua (Recite it after you've stepped out of the bathroom).

Risk of delaying ghusl after menses

Although ghusl can be delayed due to any valid reason, the risk of missing obligatory prayer on time is something that women should consider. 

So, it is not allowed to delay the Ghusl if doing so will cause one to miss the Prayer on the specified time. This is because one of the most important religious tasks is to pray at the specified time, which Allah Almighty has advised us not to disregard.

This Quran verse is enough to explain:

"But there came after them successors who neglected prayer." [Surah Maryam verse 59]
