Daniel Dubious looked scary against Nathan Gorman in a British heavyweight title fight last night. A lot of people were favouring Gorman for his supposed better boxing ability but as it turned out Dubious was the better man both technique wise and power. He dropped Gorman twice to cruise to a comfortable victory.
People who were tipping Gorman to win the bout were all wrong. Dubious is the new face of British boxing and might even achieve more than Anthony Joshua in the next 5-10 years. For a 21-year heavyweight, putting up such a solid performance, I don't see any better young British heavyweight at the moment.
Anthony Johsua had a better amateur pedigree with an Olympic gold medal while Dubious opted out of amateur to turn pro. Dubois is showing as huge improvements as Joshua did initially in every fight. The comparison should only be seen in terms of improvement and not the achievement of course. Without a doubt, he is the future of heavyweight boxing!
