Daniel Dubois knocked Nathan Gorman out to win the British heavyweight title. The stoppage came in the fifth round. As promised, Daniel Dubois, nicknamed as DDD, displayed his power and did not allow Gorman to settle in from the first bell.
The 21-year old British prodigy continues his journey to elite level boxing with another spectacular victory. Nathan Gorman was heavily favoured to win the fight due to his technical ability but DDD used his sharp to keep any threat at distance. Gorman had some success with his uppercuts in the fourth round but the knock-down in the second proved too much for him to recover and put up any resistance.
Cornered by the best heavyweight, Tyson Fury, Gorman could not recover from the second round knockdown.
"I hold my hands up, he was the better man," said Gorman. "I will have to come again and I'm sure I will."
