Here is a powerful dua of Prophet Musa (AS) that can ensure Allah's help in times of need. Being creature, we are always in need of Allah but our ego and self (nafs) keep us in ignorance of this fact.
However, our duas are answered when we down our ego by accepting our weakness, lack and dependence on God - the Creator of both good and bad.

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer
I am in absolute need of the good you send me
This dua can create wonders and attract immediate help from Allah in times of need. The real essence of this dua lies in the acceptance of our lack and God'd might.
Most of the times, we humans operate on our ego and don't realise we are tiny little creatures with no power to create or act. When we accomplish goals, we feel pride and this boosts our ego (nafs) and we tend to forget our Lord, who is the real doer of our actions and successes.
This dua must be recited as often as you can, but your best bet is to take your time out and practice this prayer session.
- Sit in a quite place
- Close your eyes and imagine the might of Allah and think of His capabilities
- Recite the above-mentioned dua, with its meaning in your mind
- Thank Allah in advance (just assume Allah has helped you and you are feeling extremely thankful for this help)
