Dua-prayer for the protection of child: Being parents or guardian of a child requires from you that you do everything you can to protect your child from all kinds of harm in the world - both physical and mental. This dua/prayer can be recited to seek protection from Allah for your child or kid. 

أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق

"I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created"

Transliteration: Auzu bikalimaatil-laahit-taam-maati min sharri maa khalaq.

How to protect the child?

Whenever your child goes out or when you sense danger or fear in your heart, recite this powerful dua and blow on your child with full belief that Allah is going to take care of your child from all harms in the world 

This world is full of evil and all sorts of harms, and it becomes our duty to protect ourselves and our children from harms. 

Protect your child from evil eye (nazr e bad)

This dua/prayer is the best when it comes to protecting your child from evil eye (nazr e bad in Urdu and Hindi). Evil eye is common and it can cause harm to an unsuspecting child, especially if the child is beautiful, smart and intelligent as negative feelings of jealousy and anger can overpower anyone travel from one mind to another (your child's).
